Comment Period Open For Culvert Lining Project
Chillicothe (Tuesday, October 27, 2015) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following multi-county culvert lining project.
ADA/BRO/PIK (PID: 97228) – It is proposed to rehabilitate three culverts by installing a liner through the existing pipe. The culverts are located at the 21.50-mile marker on S.R. 32 in Adams County; the 40.91-mile marker on U.S. 68 in the village of Fayetteville in Brown County; and the 15.35-mile marker on S.R. 772 in Pike County. No new right of way will be required for the project, and no trees with habitat for the federally endangered Indiana bat or the federally threatened northern long eared bat will be removed.
The project is currently expected to be awarded in the spring of 2016. Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.
