Chillicothe (Friday, June 16, 2017) – As part
of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning &
Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public
input for a bridge replacement project in Highland County.
HIG-50-21.55 (PID: 93786) – It is
proposed to replace the structure located at the 21.55-mile marker on U.S.
Route 50 in Paint Township. Situated over Blinco Branch, the bridge is located
between C.R. 83 (Overman Road) and C.R. 46 (Worley Mill Road), approximately
two miles west of S.R. 753 at Rainsboro.
The existing structure will be replaced
with a single-span, precast concrete box culvert with reinforced concrete
wing walls, and the project will require approximately 2.27 acres of permanent right of way. No homes or businesses will be removed as a result; however, a closure of the route may
be necessary to complete all or portions of the project.
