Comment Period Open For Industrial Parkway Project
Chillicothe (Friday, August 21, 2015) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following project in Ross County.
ROS-Industrial Parkway (PID: 99764) – It is proposed to extend Industrial Parkway approximately 1,750 feet south and connecting to existing access roads. The project, which is located in the city of Chillicothe, will include a new structure over Worthington Run; however, it will not require new right of way, and all construction activity will occur on property owned by the Ross County Community Improvement Corporation. Although no homes or businesses will be removed by the project, three trees with habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat will be removed.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by September 4, 2015, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
Greg Manson, ODOT District 9 Environmental Supervisor
