Comment Period Open For Jackson-776, 327 Project
Chillicothe (Tuesday, August 23, 2016) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on two bridge replacement projects in Jackson County.
JAC-776-10.67 (PID: 96297) – It is proposed to replace the structure over a tributary of Salt Lick Creek on S.R. 776 in Jackson County. The project site is located between T.R. 244 (Mayhew Road) and T.R. 1046 (Mineral Heights Road) in Lick Township, and construction includes replacing the existing corrugated pipe arch culvert with a precast, reinforced concrete box culvert.
JAC-327-0.77 (PID: 96297) – It is proposed to replace the structure over a tributary of Dickson Run on S.R. 327 in Bloomfield Township of Jackson County. The project site is located between T.R. 513 (Thornton Road) and T.R. 153 (June Marshall Road), just north of U.S. 35, and construction includes replacing the existing corrugated pipe arch culvert with a precast, reinforced concrete box culvert.
Neither project will require any new right of way, and a contract is expected to be awarded in the summer of 2017. A road closure on either route may be necessary to complete the project.
