Comment Period Open For Jackson-93 Slide Repair
(Monday, November 6, 2017) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District
9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office
is seeking public input for a slide remediation project on state Route 93 in
JAC-93-21.05 (PID: 102267)
– It is proposed to repair a slide along S.R. 93 in the village
of Coalton. The project site is adjacent to Stewart Street, at the southern
corporation limit of the village, and construction will include installing a
drilled shaft retaining wall, as well as guardrail and pavement repairs.
project will require approximately 0.006 acres of permanent right of way
located along the stream channel and residential lawn; however, no homes or
businesses will be removed as a result of the project. Currently, a contract is
scheduled to be awarded in July 2018, and a closure of the route during
construction will be required.
