Comment Period Open For Jackson County Bridge Replacement
Chillicothe (Tuesday, December 20, 2016) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on a bridge replacement project in Jackson County.
JAC-279-9.94 (PID: 100292) – It is proposed to replace a 36-inch corrugated metal pipe structure with a 48-inch conduit over a tributary to Black Fork Creek on S.R. 279. The project site is located at the 9.94-mile marker, immediately east of Township Road 26 (Snyder Road) in the Jackson Lake State Park area of Jefferson Township. The project will require 0.114 acres of permanent right of way; however, no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of this project.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by January 3, 2017, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
