Chillicothe (Tuesday, August 29, 2017) – As
part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning &
Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public
input for a slide repair project on state Route 7 in Lawrence County.
LAW-7-3.90 (PID: 104154) – The
proposed project includes constructing a drilled shaft retaining wall along
S.R. 7, between T.R. 1008 (Cedar Street) and C.R. 3 (Old SR 7), just north of
Chesapeake in Huntington Township. Among other features, the project will also
include minor embankment, guardrail and pavement repairs.
The project will require approximately 0.067 acres of permanent
right of way; however, no homes or businesses will be removed as a result. A
closure of the route during construction is not anticipated; however, the
roadway may be subject to short-term periods of closure or single-lane
