Chillicothe (Monday, October 3, 2016) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following project in Pike County.
PIK-551-0.28 (PID: 95424) – It is proposed to rehabilitate the structure located at the 0.28-mile marker on state Route 551 by paving the bottom of the culvert with concrete. The project site is situated over a tributary of Pee Pee Creek and located between the intersections of Township Road 452 (Jefferson and Lake View roads), just south of S.R. 220. No new right of way will be required, and no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of the project. A contract is anticipated to be awarded in the spring of 2017, and a closure of the route may be necessary to complete construction.
