Comment Period Open For Proposed Pavement Rehab
Chillicothe (Thursday, August 27, 2015) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following project on U.S. Route 23 in Scioto County.
SCI-23-10.57 (PID: 97680) – It is proposed to perform a minor pavement rehabilitation of 0.91 miles of U.S. 23 through the village of Lucasville by pavement planing and overlay, replacing the curb, sidewalk, curb ramps and guardrail where needed. Approximately 0.726 acres of permanent right of way and 0.406 acres of temporary right of way in both mowed lawns and parking lots will be required. However, no trees with habitat for the federally endangered Indiana bat or the federally threatened northern long eared bat will be removed, and no streams will be affected by the project.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by September 10, 2015, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
