Comment Period Open For S.R. 348 Slide Repair
(Thursday, April 5, 2018) – As part of the Ohio Department of
Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s
Environmental Office is seeking public input for a slide repair project on state
Route 348 in Adams County.
(PID: 102039) – It is proposed to
construct a drilled shaft retaining wall and complete pavement and guardrail
repairs to remediate a landslide. The project site is located immediately
north of the route’s junction with S.R. 125 in Tiffin Township.
The project will not require
any new right of way, and no homes or businesses will be removed as a result.
A contract is scheduled to be awarded in the summer of 2019, and although a full
closure of the route will not be required, short-term, intermittent periods
of closure and lane restrictions may be in effect during some phases of construction.
