Comment Period Open For S.R. 41 Culvert Project
Chillicothe (November 10, 2018) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a culvert replacement project on state Route 41 in Highland County.
HIG-41-2.02 (105095) - The project is to replace a culvert located on S.R. 41, approximately one-half mile north of S.R. 124 and near the community of Sinking Spring. The existing structure is a 72-inch corrugated metal pipe, and the new culvert will be a 66-inch conduit with full-height headwalls.
The project will require approximately 0.454 acres of permanent right of way; however, no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of construction. Currently, a contract is anticipated to be awarded in the spring of 2020, and a closure of the route may be required during some phases of construction.
