Comment Period Open For S.R. 7 Rock
Chillicothe – As part
of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department,
the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a rockfall maintenance
project on state Route 7 in Lawrence County.
LAW-7-4.10 - The proposed project
is to perform rock slope maintenance on S.R. 7 by scaling and trim blasting at
the 4.10-mile marker, between C.R. 7 (Old SR 7 Road) and S.R. 243 in Union
Township. Construction also includes minor pavement repair, barrier
construction, and drainage repairs. The project will require approximately
1.022 acres of permanent right of way; however, no homes or businesses will
be removed as a result of construction. Currently,
a contract is anticipated to be awarded in the summer of 2020.
