Comment Period Open For S.R. 772 Bridge Rehabilitation
(Wednesday, November 8, 2017) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District
9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental
Office is seeking public input for a bridge replacement project on state Route
772 in Pike County.
PIK-772-7.89 (PID: 96957) – It is proposed to rehabilitate the structure at the 7.89-mile
marker on S.R. 772, situated between T.R. 331 (Strutt Road) and C.R. 85 (Tennyson
Road), south of S.R. 32 in Sunfish Township. Built in 1969, the existing
structure is a corrugated metal pipe arch, and it will be lined with a
90-inch pipe liner. The project also includes 25 feet of rock channel
protection at the outlet of the structure.
project will not require any new right of way, and no homes or businesses will be removed as
a result of the project. A contract is scheduled to be awarded in the summer
of 2018, and although a full closure of the route during construction is not
anticipated, short-term, intermittent periods of closure may be needed during
some phases of the project.
