Comment Period Open For S.R. 781 Project In Adams County
Chillicothe (Tuesday, September 22, 2015) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following project on state Route 781 in Adams County.
ADA-781-7.07 (PID: 97986) – It is proposed to replace the culvert over a tributary of Turkey Creek at the 7.07-mile marker on S.R. 781 in Adams County. The project site is situated between County Road 28 (Jones Road) and Township Road 80143 (Penny Lane) in Meigs Township, and it will require approximately 0.510 acres of permanent right of way. No homes or businesses will be removed by the project; however, three trees with habitat for the federally endangered Indiana bat or the federally threatened northern long eared bat will be removed.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by October 7, 2015, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
