ODOT Seeking Comment For Proposed Project
Chillicothe (Thursday, February 2, 2012) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed project.
Lawrence County – LAW-7-3.04; PID: 91164 – The proposed project is an emergency repair project to correct landslide damage to state Route 7 at the 3.04-mile marker. A 264-foot lagging retaining wall will be built along the west side of the highway; the project also includes replacement of the shoulder, curb and gutter. No homes or businesses will be removed by the project; the project will need 0.242 acres of temporary right of way.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by February 16, 2012, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
