ODOT Seeking Comment For Proposed Project
Chillicothe (Monday, January 30, 2012) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed project.
Scioto County – SCI-140-4.94; PID: 81541 – The proposed safety project is to improve a curve on state Route 140 in Porter Township by relocating the centerline of the route approximately 50 to 75 feet east. The project is located at the intersections of C.R. 14 (Allegheny Hill Road) and C.R. 13 (Gephart Road), both of which are located in a curvy area of S.R. 140. A small bridge which spans Wards Run will also be replaced, and a center-turn lane is being investigated for left-turn movements from S.R. 140 to the county roads. No homes or businesses will be affected by the project.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by February 13, 2012, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
