ODOT Seeking Comment For Proposed Projects
Chillicothe (Monday, April 2, 2012) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed project.
Ross County – ROS-CR600-3.06 (PID: 84943) – The proposed project is a bridge rehabilitation on County Road 600 over Indian Creek in Scioto Township. The project includes replacing the concrete deck, steel beams and abutments, as well as the construction of new approach slabs and the replacement of existing guardrail. The impacts to Indian creek will occur from a temporary causeway needed to replace the steel beams. No new right of way will be needed for the project, and no homes or businesses will be removed as part of the project. Some small trees and bushes will be removed as part of the project; however, none of the trees have the habitat for Indiana bat.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by April 16, 2012, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
