Conditions Improving In South Central Ohio
Motorists still reminded of need for caution: Ice and Snow…Take it Slow!

Chillicothe (Saturday, February 6, 7:30 p.m.) - Conditions throughout south-central Ohio have improved greatly following this weekend's winter storm; however, motorists must continue to exercise extreme caution.

Most routes in ODOT District 9's eight-county region are primarily clear and wet, with some slush or patchy areas of light snow. Routes in the southern-most part of Brown, Adams, Scioto and Lawrence counties are clear and wet.

With temperatures below freezing and dropping throughout the night, pavement will be slick and likely to become icy. Remember: Ice and Snow…Take it Slow!

Although crews from the District 9's facilities will continue clean up efforts tonight, patrolling and treating as needed, motorists need to continue exercising additional caution. They are also advised to be cautious of black ice, as well as blowing snow which may drift or stick to wet pavement.
