Construction Set To Begin On Lawrence-141
Route Will Be Reduced To One Lane
Chillicothe (Wednesday, March 06, 2013) – Construction is set to begin on state Route 141 in Lawrence County, with contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation imparting lane restrictions later this month.
Crews from the Alan Stone Company will begin operations on Monday, March 18, in preparation for a slip repair project at the route’s 14.58-mile marker. The project site is located between County Road 8 (Symmes Creek Road) and Township Road 97 (Marion Brushy Fork Road), approximately two miles west of S.R. 775.
The project includes repairing the damaged roadside and embankment with a retaining wall, as well as pavement and shoulder repair and ditch grading. Throughout the construction, traffic will be maintained in one, 10-foot lane with the use of temporary traffic signals.
Alan Stone was awarded a contract for approximately $171,723 to repair the slip, and the project is anticipated to be completed in early summer.
