Construction To Begin On S.R. 125 In Adams County
Chillicothe (Monday, June 1, 2015) – Construction is slated to begin on state Route 125 in Adams County next week, with contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation imparting restrictions at the 13.30-mile marker.
On Monday, June 8, crews from the Alan Stone Company will start construction to remediate a roadway slip by installing a drilled shaft retaining wall along a 0.10-mile section of S.R. 125. The project site is situated between County Road 56 (Frank Young Road) and Township Road 73 (Satterfield Road), approximately one mile west of S.R. 348.
Construction will also include correcting drainage, installing new guardrail, repairing the pavement, grading and other improvements, and throughout the project, S.R. 125 will be reduced to one, 10-foot lane, and traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary signals.
The Alan Stone Company of Cutler, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of approximately $1.12 million to correct the slide, and all work is anticipated to be completed in early fall.
