Contractors Begin Paving Work On Ross-180

Chillicothe - A preventive maintenance project is under way on state Route 180 in Ross County, where contractors will be paving the route this week as weather permits.

Crews from the Shelly Company will be making partial-depth repairs and chip-sealing Ohio-180 between state Route 159 and Adelphi. The contractors will then move operations to state Route 124 in Pike County and U.S. Route 52 in Adams County, where they will be paving a total of 13.81 miles of roadway in these counties.

Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one lane with the aid of flaggers when crews are at work.

The Shelly Company of Thornville, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of approximately $619,108 to complete all three phases of the project, and the scheduled completion date for all work is June 30, 2008.

For information on additional lane and road closures due to construction, maintenance, accidents, flooding or other related traffic events visit ODOTs web site at www.buckeyetraffic.org
