Crews Team Up For Scioto Slip Repair
Chillicothe (Wednesday, July 16, 2014) – Crews
from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s maintenance facilities in Scioto
and Jackson counties are teaming up to repair a slip on Ohio-139.
While crews normally
undertake operations within their respective counties, there are no
boundaries when it comes to sharing equipment, experience, expertise and
effort. As such, forces from both counties are working together to perform
low-drill operations and repair a slip at the 17.5-mile marker in Scioto
The work zone is located near
County Road 18 (White Gravel-McDaniel Road) and approximately one-half mile
west of the Scioto-Jackson County line, where operations will continue through
the remainder of this week and into next.
Throughout the project,
S.R. 139 will be open to motorists; however, traffic will be reduced to one
lane, and motorists are advised to expect short-term, intermittent periods of
delay when crews are at work.
