Creek, Tributary Waters Receding; Several Lawrence County Routes Reopen
Chillicothe (Thursday, May 6, 2010 – 12:45 p.m.)– Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation's Lawrence County Highway Maintenance Facility are reporting that water on most routes has receded, and the routes are now open to traffic.
Crews have reopened state routes 378 and 243 at all locations, as well as S.R. 141 between Arabia and Waterloo. State Route 217, however, remains closed from just east of Linnville to west of S.R. 378.
Motorists are reminded that crossing any route which has been closed is strictly prohibited, and motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution when crossing any route which remains open but where standing water may be present.
