Crews Continue Treating Highways For Snow And Ice
Chillicothe - Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 highway maintenance facilities continue their efforts this morning to combat snow and ice from the area’s state and federal highway system.
Pavement conditions throughout the area vary, from clear and wet on some sections of primary routes to snow covered and slushy on most secondary routes. The driving lanes of the district’s four-lane routes are becoming clear; however, the passing lanes are still snow covered and very slushy. Crews are making progress to clear other primary, two-lane routes, but these remain partly snow covered.
While the District 9 crews will continue to treat and plow the highways throughout this winter storm, motorists are advised to exercise additional caution, remembering that in ice and snow…take it slow.
