Crews Working In Full Force To Fight Storm
Roads Still Snow Covered: Ice and Snow…Take it Slow!
Chillicothe (Monday, February 15, 3:45 p.m.) - All available crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9 continue battling today's winter storm.
Currently, road conditions throughout the area are mostly snow covered and slick. Some primary routes may be partly snow covered, slushy and wet; however, blowing and drifting snow is covering cleared areas on these roads. Secondary routes are snow covered, and motorists are advised that pavement may also be slick and icy, especially on bridges and overpasses which are likely to freeze more quickly.
Crews will continue their efforts to treat and plow the state highway system; however, motorists are reminded to exercise additional caution, remembering that conditions can change from minute to minute and from mile to mile.
Those who must travel during inclement weather should allow additional travel time, provide a safe following distance behind other vehicles, and reduce their speed significantly. Remember: Ice and Snow...Take it Slow!
