Culvert Rehab Project Gets Under Way On Brown-505
Chillicothe (Monday, May 8, 2017) – Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation have begun a preservation project in Brown County, with a culvert rehabilitation on state Route 505 near Feesburg.
Crews from Foill Incorporated will be installing a liner in the corrugated metal arch culvert that is situated at the 6.49-mile marker. The project site is located between County Road 59 (Love Road) and S.R. 756, and construction also includes the addition of a full-height headwall at the inlet of the culvert and a half-height headwall at the outlet.
As most work is being conducted off the roadway, there should be little to no impact to motorists. However, traffic will be maintained with the use of flagging operations as needed during daytime, working hours.
Foill Incorporated was awarded a contract in February for approximately $267,470, and while work gets under way today, May 8, the entire project is anticipated to be completed in early summer.
