Culvert Rehab Project Scheduled To Begin Later This Month
Chillicothe (Tuesday, July 5, 2016) – Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation are scheduled to begin a preservation project in Adams County, with a culvert rehabilitation on state Route 247 at West Union.
Crews from Foill Incorporated will be installing a liner in the corrugated metal arch culvert that is situated at the 8.82-mile marker. The project site is located between County Road 22 (Chapparal Road) and Township Road 76 (Rigdon Road), just north of the village of West Union, and construction also includes guardrail replacement.
As most work is being conducted off the roadway, there should be little to no impact to motorists. However, traffic will be maintained with the use of flagging operations as needed during daytime, working hours.
Foill Incorporated was awarded a contract in March for approximately $189,013, and construction is scheduled to begin Monday, July 18. All work associated with the project is anticipated to be completed in late August.
