Culvert Replacement On S.R. 247 Wraps Up
Chillicothe (Monday, November 28, 2016) – State Route 247 has been reopened today, November 28, following a culvert replacement project by crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility.
S.R. 247 was closed Monday, November 21, between S.R. 785 and County Road 21 (Peach Orchard Road) for crews to replace a deteriorated pipe immediately north of Township Road 169 (Walker Road) and the community of Fairfax.
Although the closure was scheduled to be in effect through tomorrow, November 29, the Highland County crews were able to wrap up operations a day in advance to reopen S.R. 247 this morning.
