Culvert Replacement Projects Rescheduled
Jury Road to be closed through weekend
Chillicothe (Thursday, May 12, 2016) – Inclement weather has delayed a pair of culvert replacement projects in Highland County this week; however, maintenance crews are working to get back on track, and work will resume Friday, May 13.
Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility have been scheduled to replace culverts on Township Road 380 (Coon Road) and T.R. 363A (Jury Road). However, this week’s storms and other complications have required the crews to make scheduling and operational changes.
Currently, Coon Road is closed at its intersection with S.R. 28, approximately two miles west of Greenfield, and this closure is in effect though Friday morning. Once Coon Road is reopened, Jury Road will be closed, and this closure will remain in effect through the weekend. The extended closure is due to the size and location of the culvert being replaced, as well as the scope of work.
While either route is closed, motorists will be detoured via County Road 11 (Centerfield Road). And although S.R. 28 will remain open, traffic may be reduced to one lane and maintained by flaggers intermittently when crews are at work.
