Culvert Replacement Scheduled At Bell’s Run-S.R. 321 Junction
Bell’s Run Road to be closed next week
Chillicothe (Monday, August 8, 2016) – A weeklong culvert replacement project has been scheduled next week at the junction of state Route 321 and Township Road 143 (Bell’s Run Road), requiring a closure of the township road.
On Monday, August 15, Bell’s Run Road, which is off S.R. 321 approximately one mile west of Mowrystown, will be closed for crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility to replace a culvert situated at the road’s junction with state Route 321.
The closure will go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. Monday, and while Bell’s Run Road is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of County Road 20 (Mowrystown-Sardinia Road). Although S.R. 321 will remain open during the project, traffic may be reduced to one lane and maintained by flaggers intermittently when crews are at work.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the work day, or 5 p.m., on Friday, August 19; however, completion of all work will be contingent upon the weather.
