Culvert Replacement Scheduled on Highland-247
Route to be closed beginning next week
Chillicothe (Wednesday, November 16, 2016) – Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility are scheduled to replace a culvert on state Route 247 next week, requiring a nine-day closure of the route.
On Monday, November 21, S.R. 247 will be closed between S.R. 785 and County Road 21 (Peach Orchard Road) while crews replace a deteriorated pipe at the 3.8-mile marker. The project site is located just north of Township Road 169 (Walker Road) and the community of Fairfax, and the closure is scheduled to be in effect through Tuesday, November 29.
While S.R. 247 is closed, motorists will be detoured via Peach Orchard Road and S.R. 73.
