Culvert Replacement Project Set For S.R. 141
Route To Be Closed Next Week
Chillicothe (Tuesday, August 7, 2012) – A culvert replacement project has been scheduled for state Route 141 in Lawrence County, and the route will be subject to a three-day closure next week.
Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation's Lawrence County Highway Maintenance Facility will close S.R. 141 on Tuesday, August 14, at the 5.54-mile marker to replace a deteriorated pipe. The project site is located between County Road 182 (Kitts Hill High School Road) and C.R. 19 (Sharps Creek Road), approximately three miles west of S.R. 217.
The closure will go into effect at approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday and continue until 5 p.m. Thursday, August 16, or until all work is completed. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via U.S. Route 52 to S.R. 243 at Coal Grove to S.R. 378 at Getaway to S.R. 141 at Aid.
Completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather.
