Culvert Replacement Slated For S.R. 134

Route To Be Closed Two Weeks Next Month

Chillicothe (Thursday, August 21, 2014) – Maintenance forces from the Ohio Department of Transportation Highland County facility will undertake a culvert replacement project on state Route 134 next month, requiring a two-week closure of the route.

On Monday, September 8, crews will close S.R. 134 at the 18.52-mile marker to replace a deteriorated culvert. The project site is located just north of County Road 8 (Panhandle Road) and the village of Lynchburg, immediately south of the Highland-Clinton County line.

The closure will go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. on September 8 and continue until 4 p.m. Friday, September 26, or until all work is completed; completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather.

While S.R. 134 is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of  S.R. 124 in Clinton County, U.S. 50 at Hillsboro and S.R. 135 at Allensburg.
