Culvert Replacement Slated For Scioto-140
Route To Be Closed For Single-Day Project
Chillicothe (Friday, September 14, 2012) – State Route 140 will be closed one day next week as Ohio Department of Transportation maintenance forces undertake a culvert replacement project in Scioto County.
On Wednesday, September 19, crews from ODOT’s Scioto County facility will close S.R. 140 at the 6.69-mile marker to replace a deteriorated culvert. The project site is located between County Road 5 (Turkey Foot Road) and C.R. 13 (Gephart Road), north of Sciotodale.
The closure will go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m., or until all work is completed, and completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather.
While S.R. 140 is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of U.S. 52 to S.R. 93 in Lawrence County to S.R. 140.
