Replacements Set For Brown-221
Route to be closed three
days next week
Chillicothe (Tuesday, August 15, 2017) – A series of culvert
replacement projects is scheduled next week on state Route 221 in Brown
County, requiring three, single-day closures of the route.
Beginning Tuesday, August 22, and
continuing through Thursday, August 24, S.R. 221 will be closed between
C.R. 67 (Old A&P Road) at Higginsport and T.R. 592 (Hunter Road) south of
Georgetown while crews from ODOT’s Brown County Highway Maintenance
Facility replace a deteriorated culvert.
The project sites are located at the 0.77, 1.82 and the 4.15-mile markers, respectively, and the
route will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
While S.R. 221 is closed, traffic will
be detoured via U.S. 52, S.R. 505 and S.R. 125; the route will be open to
evening and overnight travel.
