Culvert Projects Continue
Adams-770 Slated For Additional One-Day Closure
Chillicothe - Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation Adams County Highway Maintenance Facility will close state Route 770 Thursday, March 12, for a culvert replacement project.
The route will be closed at the 5.60-mile marker, between County Road 10K (Watt Young Road) and County Road 99A (Big Woods Road), to replace a deteriorated pipe. This project is one in a series of 20 culvert replacements in preparation for a resurfacing project that will take place this summer.
The closure will be in effect from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; however, completion of all work will be contingent upon the weather. While the route is closed, traffic will be detoured via state routes 73, 41, 32 and 247.
Crews will also be working at the route’s 10.51-mile marker, immediately south of its junction with state Route 73. However, the route will remain open at this location, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
