Chillicothe (Thursday, June 9, 2011) – A pair of single-day culvert replacements has been scheduled on state Route 774 in Brown County, and the route will be closed two days next week.
Weather permitting, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County facility will close S.R. 774 on Tuesday, June 14, at the 6.28-mile marker, immediately north of County Road 5 (Bethel-New Hope Road) to replace a deteriorated pipe. Then on Wednesday, June 15, crews will close the route again to replace a deteriorated culvert at the 7.8-mile marker, between C.R. 22 (Starling Road) and C.R. 1 (New Harmony-Shiloh Road).
On both days, S.R. 774 will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., with the route open to evening and overnight travel. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 68 and S.R. 125.
