Culvert Replacement Slated For Brown-774
Route To Be Closed September 16
Chillicothe (Friday, September 3, 2010) - Operations for a culvert replacement project are set to on state Route 774 in Brown County, according to Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 Deputy Director James Brushart.
“Although we’re moving into fall, our construction program is still very active, so we appreciate the patience of motorists and residents as we work toward the continued improvement of the state’s transportation system,” said Brushart.
According to Brushart, contractors for the department will close Ohio-774 Thursday, September 16, at the route’s 2.80-mile marker, which is located near Township Road 38 (Drake Road) and just west of Hamersville, to replace the deteriorated structure.
While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 125, S.R. 756 and S.R. 133 in Clermont County.
Coopers Excavating, of Winchester, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of $150,845 to complete the project, and the scheduled completion date is October 30, 2010.
