Culvert Replacement Slated For Jackson-93
S.R. 327 Remains Closed Following Washout, Pavement Collapse
Chillicothe (Tuesday, June 8, 2010) – Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation Jackson County Highway Maintenance Facility will undertake a culvert replacement project on state Route 93, forcing a weeklong closure of the route.
During the week of June 14, crews will be replacing a deteriorated culvert located near the 21.0-mile marker at the village of Coalton.
Weather permitting, the project will begin at 8 a.m. Monday, June 14, and continue through the end of the business day (or approximately 4 p.m.) Friday, June 18, with the route closed to all traffic throughout the week. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of state routes 788 and 93.

State Route 327 remains closed between T.R. 207 (Woodrow Hale Road) and T.R. 206 (Ray Road), just south of the Jackson-Vinton County line, where crews continue working to restore the route following a bridge washout and pavement collapse last week.
It is anticipated that the route will be reopened to traffic by late afternoon Thursday, June 10; however, completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather. While S.R. 327 is closed, traffic is being detoured via state Route 93 at Wellston and U.S. 50 through Vinton County.
