Daytime Closures Slated For Ross-207
Back-to-back one-day closures this week
Chillicothe (Monday, February 28, 2011) –While inclement weather has forced the delay of a series of culvert replacement projects on state Route 207 in Ross County, crews will resume operations tomorrow to begin replacing an additional four culverts this week.
On Tuesday, March 1, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Ross County Highway Maintenance Facility will close the route near the 7.74-mile marker, south of Township Road 119 (Dodd Road), during daytime, business hours to replace the first deteriorated pipe.
Operations will then move Wednesday, March 2, to the 4.21-mile marker between T.R. 124 (Rinkliff Road) and C.R. 111 (Stone Road); to the 9.15-mile marker, south of C.R. 101 (Westfall Road), on Thursday; and to the 11.05-mile marker, between T.R. 95 (Bush Mill Road) and T.R. 131C (Brown Chapel Road), on Friday.
The closures are scheduled to go into effect at approximately 8:30 a.m. and continue until 3:00 p.m. each day. While the route is closed, traffic will be detoured by way of U.S. Route 35 West to S.R. 138 North to Clarksburg to S.R. 207.
S.R. 207 will be open to evening and overnight travel, and weather permitting, the entire project to replace all four culverts should be completed by the end of the business day Friday, March 4.
