District 9 Crews Remain On Duty For Snow & Ice Ops
Chillicothe (Tuesday, January 12, 2016 – 4:30 p.m.) – Snowplow operators from the Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9 will remain on duty this evening to continue their patrols and battle drifting snow.
Roadways throughout the area are primarily clear; however, wind gusts are causing snow to blow and drift onto routes at localized areas throughout District 9, which includes Adams, Brown, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross and Scioto counties. In addition, temperatures are falling, and there is the potential for ice to form on pavement that remains wet.
District 9 crews will be patrolling and plowing routes on the state highway system as needed tonight; however, motorists are reminded to continue exercising caution, reduce their speed and be prepared for changing conditions. Wet or snow-covered pavement may be icy and slick.
