District 9 Crews Continue Treating Highways For Snow
Chillicothe - While highway conditions have improved significantly, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 highway maintenance facilities continue their efforts to combat snow from southern Ohio’s highways.
Currently, light snow and slush remains on some secondary routes, and the district’s primary routes are becoming clear and wet. Pavement conditions, however, are slick. In addition to treating as needed, crews are plowing back edge lines and shoulders.
While the District 9 crews will continue to treat and plow the highways throughout this winter storm, motorists are advised to exercise additional caution, allowing additional time to arrive at their destinations and maintaining a safe traveling distance when driving behind other vehicles on the roads.
