Emergency Contract Awarded For Scioto-125 Slip Repair
Chillicothe (Friday, April 24, 2015) – An emergency contract has been awarded for the repair of a slide and pavement slip on state Route 125 in Scioto County.
Crews from DGM, Incorporated will start construction next week to repair a slip near the route’s 10.20-mile marker, between Township Road 102 (Odle Creek Road) and T.R. 1531 (Pine Hill Road), where the pavement and shoulder have been comprised along the south side of Scioto-125, just west of U.S. 52.
Sunesis Construction Company was awarded a Type A Emergency contract after engineers from the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning and Engineering Department conducted field reviews of the site and outlined a project. The Emergency A contract allows ODOT to expedite the project through its construction department, and contractors can begin work immediately.
With the route already restricted, traffic will continue to be maintained in one lane with the use of temporary signals throughout construction.
