Emergency Culvert Replacement Scheduled For S.R. 247
Route to be closed Wednesday, June 1
Chillicothe (Tuesday, May 31, 2016) – An emergency culvert replacement project has been scheduled tomorrow on state Route 247, requiring a one-day closure of the route.
On Wednesday, June 1, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Adams County Highway Maintenance Facility will close S.R. 247 at the 16.3-mile marker to replace a deteriorated culvert. The project site is situated immediately south of the route’s intersection with S.R. 137, south of S.R. 32 at Seaman.
The closure will be in effect from approximately 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., or until all work is completed, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via S.R. 137, S.R. 136 and S.R. 125. Completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather.
