Emergency Slip Repair Set For Lawrence-217
Route to be closed three days next week
Chillicothe (Thursday, March 10, 2016) – An emergency repair project will take place next week on state Route 217 in Lawrence County, requiring closure of the route.
Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Lawrence County Highway Maintenance Facility will close S.R. 217 at the 10.1-mile marker, between Township Road 228 (Capper Ridge Road) and S.R. 775, to repair a slip that has occurred in the roadway.
The closure will go into effect at 8 a.m. Monday, March 14, and continue until approximately 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, or until all work is completed. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 378, S.R. 141 and S.R. 775.
