Emergency Slip Repair Wraps Up
Scioto-125 Reopens To Two Lanes
Chillicothe (Thursday, July 2, 2015) – An emergency slip repair project on state Route 125 in Scioto County has been completed, and the route is now open to two lanes of traffic.
Crews from Sunesis Construction Company have been repairing a slide near the route’s 10.20-mile marker, where the pavement and shoulder became comprised along the south side of Scioto-125, just west of U.S. 52, following a period of significant rainfall in the spring.
Sunesis Construction was awarded a Type A Emergency contract in early April to repair the slide between Township Road 102 (Odle Creek Road) and T.R. 1531 (Pine Hill Road), thereby allowing the project to be expedited and construction begin immediately.
Crews completed construction earlier this afternoon, reopening S.R. 125 to two lanes of traffic nearly two weeks ahead of the anticipated July 15 completion date.
