Guardrail Project Slated For Lawrence County Roads
Chillicothe - A guardrail repair project on two Lawrence County roads is getting under way this week, with contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation beginning preliminary site operations.
As weather permits, crews from PDK Construction will be replacing guardrail at various locations along County Road 31 (Big Branch Road) and County Road 32 (Eaton Road).
“This is one of more than 70 projects taking place in District 9 during this year’s construction season, and one of 19 projects that we are undertaking with our local governments for the safety and preservation of the county highway system,” ODOT District 9 Deputy Director James Brushart.
Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with the use of flaggers as needed when crews are at work.
PDK Construction of Pomeroy, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of $362,426 in late July, and the scheduled completion date for all work is October 31, 2008.
