Bridge Work To Begin On Hess Lane
Chillicothe (Friday, December 2, 2011) – Although winter is just around the corner, the Ohio Department of Transportation’s construction season carries on, and a bridge replacement is scheduled to begin in eastern Ross County this month.
Crews from the Righter Company for will be replacing a bridge located over Little Salt Creek on Township Road 523 (Hess Lane), just west of County Road 213B (West Junction Road) and the Jackson County line. Preliminary operations for construction are set to begin Monday, December 12, and work will continue during the winter months as weather permits.
The Righter Company, of Columbus, Ohio, was awarded a contract for approximately $448,441 to replace the bridge and reconstruct the approaches. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one lane on existing and temporary pavement with the use of flaggers as needed, and the scheduled completion date is October 31, 2012.
