To Remain Closed Through The Weekend
Chillicothe (Friday, July 25, 2014) – A series
of culvert replacement projects on state Route 753 in Highland County is
nearing completion; however, the route will remain closed through the

Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility have
been working today to complete the final culvert replacement between S.R. 41
and S.R. 506. Although operations were to be completed by the close of
business this afternoon, crews have encountered a failing rock wall that will
require additional work to excavate and stabilize the area.
Currently, the project is
anticipated to be completed Monday, July 28, but while the route remains
closed, traffic will be detoured by way of S.R. 506, S.R. 124 and S.R. 41.
Motorists are advised to
pay heed to barricades and warning signs posted in advance of a closure, and
they are reminded that attempting to cross any closed route is strictly
