Hopetown Road Closure Slated For Next Week
Chillicothe - As part of an ongoing bridge deck replacement project on U.S. Route 23 in Ross County, Hopetown Road is scheduled to be closed for up to three days next week.
On Monday, August 4, contractors will close the route between its junction with state Route 159/Bridge Street and Marietta Road in order to continue deck removal of the overpass that carries U.S. 23 traffic.
Weather permitting, the route will be closed during daytime, working hours only, from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with it being open to late evening and overnight travel each day. The daytime closures will resume Tuesday through Thursday, August 5 through 7; however, the duration of the project will be contingent upon factors such as weather and the amount of work completed each day.
On days that the route is closed, motorists may detour by way of state Route 159 and Marietta Road.
